Don Bedford, Tony Reny, Ronald Grant - Chairman, Charles Noonan – Town Manager,
Kevin Mower, and Sally Ann Hebert –Recording Secretary.

Call to Order
Ronald
Grant, chairman called the Board of Selectmen’s meeting to order at 7:00PM.

Public
Discussion
None.
III.
Acceptance of Minutes
Tony Reny
motioned to waive the reading of the minutes, and to approve the acceptance of
the minute’s dated April 22nd meeting upon signature of chairman, Ron
Grant’s signature. Kevin Mower 2nd the motion. Vote was unanimous.
Motion passed.
IV.
Treasurers Report
Charlie
Noonan reported a balance on hand after today’s warrant of
$
72,188.78. Excise tax collection is ahead of last year. The town has already
expended 80% of the legal expense budget for 2013; litigation has just started.
The Board
discussed the expenses in building maintenance and town garage maintenance.
V.
Roads
Charlie
reported the road crew has been patching and ditching. A claim has been filed on
replacing the guard rail on College Road that was damaged during an automobile
accident.
Sweeping
of the roads begins tomorrow.
V1. Old Business
A. FEMA
Charlie reported notification
has been received the Feds are reimbursing the Town of Greene $20,450.85. Tony
Reny motioned to replace the funds as follows: $
4,000.00 overtime
$
1,500.00 utilities
S
1,500.00 winter sand
$ 10,000.00 salt
$
2,000.00 plow supplies
$
1,450.85 Equipment
With the funds from FEMA. Kevin
Mower 2nd the motion. Vote was unanimous. Motion passed.
When the state monies of $4,090
are received a recommendation will be made at that time.
B.
SAD 52
Annual Meeting
The Board and Charlie discussed
the projected increase from the School for the Town of Greene. Their concerns
are: does it include the 50% increase from last year; how can the School Board
project figures on a monthly basis?
The annual budget meeting is
Tuesday at 6pm at LAHS. The referendum validation vote is May 21 1-7 at Greene
Town Office.
C. Litigation
The complaint has been drafted
by the town attorney.
Ken is working on the Junkyards
not filed.
D. Other
None.

New
Business
a.
Greene
Community Scholarship Awards
The
Board received a notice on the winners of the Scholarship. These will be
announced at Leavitt Graduation.
b.
Other
Ron Grant announced Dave Chabot
has resigned from the Sabattus Lake Dam Commission. Anyone interested to be a
member of the commission; fill out an application at the Greene Town Office.

Committee
Reports
Don Bedford reported he attended
the CTAM meeting here at the Town Office reported it was very interesting.
Attendees from Belfast to Standish were in attendance. There was a demonstration
of the GOPRO cameras.
Tony Reny reported the
Conservation Commission is working on the presentation at Greene Central School
regarding scholarship program as Conservation Camp at Bryant Pond.

Village Days is going to be more centralized this year.
