Members present:, Don Bedford, Tony Reny – Acting Chairman, Charles Noonan – Town Manager, Kevin Mower and Sally Ann Hebert – Recording Secretary.
Members absent: Mark Christman – work; Ronald Grant – ill.

I.
Call to Order
Tony Reny, Acting Chairman called the meeting to order at 7PM.
Public Hearing for PACE Ordinance held. No comments from the public. This will be voted on at the Special Town Meeting June 4th.
Tony Reny on behalf of the Board of Selectmen presented the Araxine Sawyer Memorial Foundation the Spirit of America Award.

Acceptance of Minutes – May 7, 2012
Kevin
Mower motioned to waive the reading of the minutes, and to approve the
acceptance of the minute’s dated May 7th
meeting upon signature of chairman,
Ronald Grant. Don Bedford 2nd the motion. Vote was unanimous.
Motion passed.
IV.
Treasurer’s Report
Charlie
Noonan reported a balance on hand after today’s warrant of
$
77,760.42. Charlie will hold off on using the TAN monies until needed; use only
what is needed at a time.
V.
Roads
Charlie reported the crew is near completion of
work on
The mowing is never ending with sun, rain, sun.
Bruce Tufts is reviewing the applications for highway department.

Old Business
a. Dispatch
Charlie Noonan went over the Lewiston/Auburn proposal.
Kevin Mower motioned to have Ron Grant send a letter to Phil Moreau – Greene representative of the Androscoggin County Budget Committee – vote against releasing the funds for the Sheriff to build a newer 911 dispatch center. Don Bedford 2nd the motion. Vote was unanimous. Motion passed.
B Paving Bids
There was seven bids submitted. (Copy of spreadsheet attached). Kevin Mower motioned to award the Paving bid to Lane Co, pending any future questions per
Charlie Noonan’s recommendation of $270,213.07. Don Bedford 2nd the motion.
Vote was unanimous. Motion passed.
C.
School
Budget Vote
Tony Reny thanked the volunteers of WGLT TV7 that has broadcast the MSAD52 School Budget meetings; the have been broadcast live and put on Pegcentral for viewing by the residents of Greene.
The revote will be held on June 12, same time as the Primary Election. There is a budget meeting on May 23 and the Budget Vote on June 5th.

Special
Town Meeting Warrant
Don Bedford motioned for the Board of Selectmen to sign the Special Town Meeting Warrant for June 4th at 7PM to Adopt PACE Ordinance. Kevin Mower 2nd the motion. Vote was unanimous. Motion passed.
b.
Tax
Committment
Charlie explained the process if the school budget is not passed on June 12th.
The Board will set the tax mill rate on June 12th.
c.
General
Assistance Ordinance Amendment Hearing
Don Bedford motioned to hold a Hearing at 7:15 pm on June 4th on the Amendment to the General Assistance Ordinance.
d.
Other
Sally Ann Hebert on behalf of WGLT presented the request in writing. The Board wants to wait until the next full board meeting.
e.
Litigation
The Board will discuss at the end of the meeting.

The Board signed the quit claim deed for the Michael Ray property on Lane Road to clear the old liens.

Adjournment
Kevin Mower motioned the Board to enter executive session to discuss a legal matter pursuant to 1 MRSA, Section 405, subsection 6(F), no decision being made will not be returning to board meeting. Don Bedford 2nd the motion. Vote was unanimous. Motion passed.
The Board adjourned to executive session from 7:50-7:59PM.
