 The Town of Greene is centrally located in Androscoggin County bordering Lewiston, Turner, Leeds, Wales & Sabattus. Incorporated on June 18, 1788 from Lewiston Plantation. With its 36 square miles, we are a caring community with many things to offer. Population is 4350 (according to the 2010 U.S. census) and growing strong. U.S. Route 202 runs through the center of Town. Greene has 61 miles of quality roads and is located only 6 miles from the Maine Turnpike (Interstate 95) and has 6 miles of railroad service from the Guilford Railroad.




Help Wanted - The town of Greene is seeking applicants for the position of Truck Driver/Equipment Operator. Applicants must possess a valid Class B CDL and pass a drug test. The position involves manual labor and work in adverse weather conditions. THis is a full time position with benefits. $13.00 per hour starting pay depending on experience. JKA Maine Karate Academy Competition Team took home 16 medals, 8 Gold, 2 Silver and 6 Bronze from the recent concluded 2018 Ozawa Cup International Karate Tournament, with over 600 competitors in Las Vegas, Nevada.
