The Town of Greene is centrally located in Androscoggin County bordering Lewiston, Turner, Leeds, Wales & Sabattus. Incorporated on June 18, 1788 from Lewiston Plantation. With its 36 square miles, we are a caring community with many things to offer. Population is 4089 (according to the 2000 census) and growing strong. U.S. Route 202 runs through the center of Town. Greene has 61 miles of quality roads and is located only 6 miles from the Maine Turnpike (Interstate 95) and has 6 miles of Railroad Service from the Guilford Railroad.

Kyle & Zachary Breton were presented the Greene Community Award at the June 1st Selectmen's meeting for their
participation in teaching others how & what to recycle.
These boys have made quite a difference in the their school and the community.
